The 10-Year Trend
One year can be a blip. Ten years tell the story. Each chart tracks a full decade of Twin Cities medians — single-family homes in navy, townhomes and condos in gold. Hover or tap any point for the exact figure.
Median Sale Price
Single-family prices have climbed from $260,000 to $441,000 over the decade. Townhome and condo prices rose too, then eased back slightly over the last two years.

Median Days on Market
Homes sold at a sprint in 2021 — a median of just 9 days for single-family. The pace has since settled back, and townhomes and condos now take the longest they have in a decade.
What this means: How many days from listing to accepted offer (median). Lower = faster-moving market.

Median Showings to Pending
In the frenzy of 2021, a single-family listing needed a median of 16 showings before an offer stuck. Today it takes about 11 — buyers are choosier, and the right home still moves.
What this means: How many showings a listing typically gets before going under contract (median).

How to read these charts: Each annual point is a December rolling-12-month median — in other words, every December pools all sales from that full calendar year, so seasonal swings are smoothed out. The final point, “TTM Oct ’26,” is the trailing 12 months through October 2026.
Geography: “7-County MSP Metro” is the seven-county Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area as NorthstarMLS defines it: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington counties.
